Girl Genius NUMBEROFARTICLES mostly just reports 0 (sometimes another small integer, but nothing consistent), rather than something sane, like the number of articles (about 300 or so) in the main namespace. This is new since the Mad: namespace was added, which I don't think should be included in the count (text on the home page notwithstanding). — Zarchne 03:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

- I'm sorry about not noting here that we've attempted to run the statistics reset script and for some reason it's not working. Danny has filed a ticket to have one of our Developers take a look at the issue more closely since something strange is going on here. I apologize for not letting you know sooner. - I think I've gone through and removed all cases where a page in the main namespace was transcluded into another article. We're up to NUMBEROFARTICLES being "3" after my previous round of removal; perhaps now the stats script can run. (I will be sad, but at least it is a workaround.) ⚙Zarchne 22:02, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Need a lot of help with French YPPedia!!!
Well, I am a chip out of YPPedia. The Puzzle Pirates wiki. If anyone could help me get the templates on it on YPPedia Français --Addihockey 03:16, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

- Can someone now fix, that pages from fr.starter.wikia.com were insered into new French wikis? I ment, I saw a new crated Frech wiki, without any pages. Marta Ägnös (Talk, MUM, LC, DT, Wikia) 15:19, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- The French Starter wiki will be enabled when it is a bit more complete. The wiki needs to contain only pages that will be imported to new wikis, so discussions such as Discuter:Accueil will need to be removed when the wiki is ready to be launched. It would be best to have some more native French speakers involved to check it's ready to launch. Angela (talk) 17:01, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I did wonder why there were many talk pages on fr.starter; it made me think you guys had devised a way to copy only selected (non-talk) namespaces to new wikis; evidently not yet! Where is the best place to coordinate its improvements and reach consensus on when it is ready? I, Squallinoa 08, would like to be a bureaucrat at the DOA wiki since I'm in charge of the wiki from this point on. With that, I could grant users into sysops since there are no active bureacrats. I'm the only active sysops in the DOA wiki; no bureacrats, and only one sysops active. Oh, I would also like to make this user, Wikiar a sysop DOA wiki! I don't know how to make users as sysops/bureacrats, so can you please make this user a sysop for DOA wiki? So can you please? Squallinoa 08 22:03, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Translating "Community Team" page for other-language Central Wikia?
Seems to be a problem for French. See http://fr.wikia.com/wiki/Team_communaut%C3%A9. An English-language explanation would be good. I could understand a policy that said a page like that should not be translated but should be merely linked to; though that would disadvantage users who have little or no English. How about authorising links plus summaries, e.g. encouraging the non-English Central Wikia to name the current Team members and to say what each Team member specialises in? All Team members could have such pages on their watchlists so as to keep an eye on accuracy. — Robin Patterson (Talk) 01:35, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
